I like the second one. I like covers with people on them and that would be would prompt me to pick the book up and read the description. I probably would have passed it up if I saw the first cover.
@Nayuleska: I'm reading the Uglies series right now! xD
Both covers have their good points and their bad points. UK has the floral summery feel to it. However, if I were to see it in a bookshop, I'd probably just pass it by. US has people-- and I think it engages more with me, since it paints at least a little snippet of what the storyline, or characters could be about. Though, there is a lot of white space.
Hmm...I'll have to compare in real life someday. I really want to read this one though- it sounds good and I've read good reviews on it.
I was blown away by the blue cover, you will be too if you see it in real life. It comes out of the page!
ReplyDeleteThey're both pretty but I don't like white spaces. The placing and the size of the title on the right one seems off so I prefer the blue cover.
ReplyDeleteThey're SO different - I also like them both and can't decide!
ReplyDeleteI can't decide either, lol. Not much use today, am I?
ReplyDeleteI like the one on the left. I find the one on the right a bit sickly to be honest :-)
ReplyDeleteI like the ones with the people. It's more earnest.
ReplyDeleteUmm, this is a hard one! But, if I was backed into a corner, the UK one.
ReplyDeleteI like them both and I can't decide! Is the one on the left the UK one?
ReplyDeleteOoops - yes the left is the UK (as shown on Amazon) and the right is US :)
ReplyDeleteI like the UK one better...
ReplyDeleteYou can't really read the title on the other one and the picture looks weird...

ReplyDeleteI like the first one.
ReplyDelete(And all I can think of with the word 'pretty' is Scott Westerfeld's Uglies series!)
I like the cover with the persons on it. :)
